The Full Moon in Aquarius is on Thursday, August 15 at 5:29am PDT
The moon at 22 degrees in Aquarius, which is an Air sign with the archetype of “The Water Bearer”.
Aquarius energy embodies other-worldly, eccentric, humanitarian thinking outside-of-the-box.
It is a fresh approach to doing things.
Uranus is the ruler Aquarius bringing in sudden lightning speed changes and awakenings
During a Full Moon, the Moon and the Sun are in opposition with each other. At this time, the Sun is aligned with Venus with a conjunction to Mars in Leo.
This aspect brings awareness to what you can attract from a place of fun and creativity, and how to push that vision forward into reality. (A great time to check out the Planetary Power Fall Program)
There is a polarity between emotions and this consciousness which is meant to teach you how to balance staying true to yourself, while also keeping in mind the greatest good of all.
Jupiter in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces, which conflicts with the dreaminess of Neptune and the logical wisdom of Jupiter. This challenge to stay connected to your intuition will lead to your growth and trust in yourself and your deeper knowing.
Neptune is sextile to Pluto and Saturn conjunct in Capricorn. Pluto unearths hidden information, often relating to shadow work and karma.
Karma isn’t a punishment for something “bad” done in a past life, it is the work you are here to do and lessons meant to learn in this lifetime which have not been completed in the past.
It is another opportunity to evolve.
Saturn contains a heavier energy often associated with personal responsibilities and our parents. Capricorn can be critical and tough.
Lean into the watery comfort of Neptune and Pisces if you start getting down on yourself, this energy will help ease any burden coming up. Go to the Ocean, a river, or lake, or simply take a relaxing bath with Epsom Salts to wash unhelpful energies away.
Full Moons are a time to release what is no longer in alignment for your Highest Good. Look at where 22 degrees of Aquarius lies at in your birth chart (you can pull it up for free at Astro.com or work with Abigail or me for an Astrology reading). By understanding what House the Full Moon is in ensures you are getting the most out of working with this energy.
After reflecting on what is holding you back, it’s a great time to ritualize this full moon.. Light some candles, invoke the energy of the Aquarius Moon, and visualize yourself physically releasing what you’ve identified, as you scrub your body with Epsom salt in a bath or shower. Feel it leave your body and watch it go down the drain. Emerge renewed.
Alternatively, if you are visiting a body of water you could find a rock (and after asking it permission), imagine all of your unwanted energy being infused into the stone. Let it all go. When you feel ready, throw the stone into the water to complete the ritual. Always end with gratitude to your allies (the Moon, Earth represented by stone or Epsom Salt, Water, etc.) for assisting you with your release. You are complete.
