Jupiter in Capricorn

On December 3rd Jupiter moves into Capricorn and will stay there until December 18th 2020.

To understand this transit, let’s start with Jupiter’s characteristics.

Jupiter expands whatever it touches(or makes strong aspects to in your chart).

Jupiter has to do with growth, both spiritual and mental sometimes also physical.

Think of the transitions a child goes through in the first year of life and then again from 12-13 years(that is precisely when Jupiter returns to the native’s chart placement and they have a first of many Jupiter returns).

It is a social planet because it connects us to those natives born within a 12-13 month cycle together.  You are bonded by your desires to expand and grow. What you yearn to explore and share with the world.  The group of peers that you learn with through school the bonds that you make with others to expand your minds together and then to go out and share with the world.

Now lets look at Capricorn themes:

Capricorn has to do with systems, structures, authority and dedication.  Capricorn is about structure which should be welcomed after Sagittarius’ etheric expansion. Now we need to put a roof on all that newness. Capricorn is an Earth sign that is Cardinal which means it has to do with new beginnings in work, the public and government.

You’ll want to look at where Capricorn is in your birth chart to understand how this transit will affect you personally.

Do you have planets, placements or a strong influence of Capricorn in your chart?

This year will be a year of growing pains and great expansion for you wherever your Capricorn energy is.

Look back to the last time Jupiter was in Capricorn, which was December 18th 2007-January 2009, to understand more of what this transit might have in store for you.
